Technical Info general info

The chemical dosing of the arc tubes to create spectral output
specific to plant growth is the greatest recent advancement for our industry.

Horticultural light is measured in par watts (photo synthetically active radiation) , this is the amount of light energy that a plant can assimilate. Colour temperature and lumen output of lamps are rated for human eye response and does not apply to plant response. The eye response curve chart shows a spike at about 500 nanometers (yellow light-regular MH).

Plants use a very broad range of light during their growth cycle. SUNMASTER is a brand of specialty plant growth lamps available with various dosed arc tubes. Each lamp in the family will perform either a broad application for all stages (balanced lamp), or be dosed specially in the red for flowering or blue for vegetative (warm deluxe / cool deluxe).

The SUNMASTER warm MH family is used extensively for flowering in indoor application as opposed to HPS. Sunmaster Warm Deluxe lamps create greater flower production and less heat.

Sunmaster lamps use new technology designed specifically for the horticultural industry.

The real bonus to the grower besides enhanced performance is that they are all Metal Halide and are therefore interchangeable in one fixture!
